Appreciative families in Girardot.
The children make it all worthwhile.
Over Christmas, Samary, from the Amigos en Cristo group, visited Colombia to purchase food, with the donated money, for the families living in poverty.
She purchased food and prepared it in packages for delivery and also purchased gifts for the children.
With the help of two pastors and local church members, she delivered food for 100 families and presents for 115 children in the four villages of Chia, Melgar, Flandes, and Girardot. Praise God!
The average income in the poorest areas of these villages is only $100-$150 per month.
Two of the churches continue to do extra community outreach and help those living in poverty.
The church doing the most has about 25 members and is meeting in a garage.
What a testimony and opportunity for the families to see the love of Christ demonstrated in a practical way.
We thank all of you for your contributions to this effort and ask that you continue to pray for the pastors and churches who will continue to reach out to these families to bring them closer to Christ.
